The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) supports the Department of Energy’s (DoE) proposal for recertifying energy practitioners. Recertification, according to PE2, will ensure energy efficiency practitioners (EEP) stay updated and better assist designated establishments (DEs) in complying with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (RA 11285).
This is seen as crucial to achieving the government’s energy savings target of 182 Mtoe by 2040. PE2 emphasizes the importance of EE practitioners alongside renewable energy in attaining the country’s energy goals.
