AboitizPower is driving a cleaner energy future by investing in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and expanding its renewable energy (RE) portfolio. AboitizPower President and CEO Emmanuel “Manny” Rubio stresses the importance of diversifying energy sources for security and growth.
Their $3.3 billion LNG facility aims to add 2,500 MW, complementing RE. The company’s initiatives align with the Philippine Energy Plan, targeting a 35% RE share by 2030 and 50% by 2040. Additionally, AboitizPower emphasizes the need for infrastructure development and policy improvements to support the energy transition and meet the evolving needs of Filipinos.
